West Boulder Bridge
Me and my 4 girlfriends decided to have a relaxing weekend picnic near the West Boulder Bridge in the grassy fields overlooking the mountains. This beautiful picnic, however, quickly turned into a major exploration. One of my friends was intrigued by the nearby river and rocks surrounding us, so we decided to follow her and see what was in store beyond the bridge. To our surprise, we stumbled upon a hidden cave. Crawling through tight cracks and crevices and jumping from high rocks, the cave spit us out to a breathtaking view of a hidden waterfall. Obviously, we had to go see the falls close up, so we found a windy path down the cliffs to the pool. Despite the shock of the icy water, we all jumped in together. It was an unforgettable adventure.
Grand Tetons
A few weekends later, my friends and I packed up for a weekend trip to the Tetons. We drove through a peaceful Yellowstone National Park early in the morning before reaching our Airbnb. When we arrived, we all went to the lake where we were greeted by curious, grazing cows on the beach. There, I learned to fish and skip rocks - very valuable lessons! That night, we soaked up bustling town of Jackson Hole, where we swing danced and line danced in the true cowboy country. The next day, we hiked a gorgeous trail to Phelps Lake and capped off the trip cliff jumping into the cool water. Our drive back through Yellowstone was a perfect ending with the glistening moon lighting up the smoke from the geysers and the running river.
Glacier National Park
One of our final weekends in Montana, a group of us rented an expensive (but worth it) Airbnb near the infamous Glacier National Park. We spent the whole weekend laughing, playing games, and taking advantage of the many amenities in the beautiful house. However, the best part of the trip was driving through the park. The different structures and biomes coexisting in harmony gave me a rush of thrilling energy and a pure joy just looking at it and taking in the fresh air. Driving on the edge of those windy roads and tall cliffs really felt like driving through surrealness. After the drive, we went paddle boarding and skipped rocks on two beautiful lakes, as well as picked out some souvenirs in remembrance of the incredible trip.
Off Day Adventures
My days off of the ranch were filled with such fun adventures. Here are some of those stories!
